About
Kanubhai Hasmukhbhai Tailor is an Indian social worker with a physical disability, hailing from Gujarat. He is the Founder of the Disable Welfare Trust of India, dedicated to uplifting physically disabled individuals, and a member of the Board of Founders at Rishihood University.
During his early schooling, Kanubhai contracted Poliomyelitis, resulting in permanent disability in both legs. Motivated by his personal experience, he established the Trust focusing on education, vocational training, and rehabilitation. In recognition of his efforts, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri in 2011.
