COVID Response

Rishihood University has formed a COVID-19 Response Team of central and unit-level representation, including faculty, staff and administrators to give recommendations and guide our response to the pandemic. The inputs of the students are considered through a Student Advisory Board.

The functions of the COVID-19 Response Team:

  • Act as the first point of contact for COVID-19 protocols at RU
  • Support health and well-being of RU community members (including mental health)
  • Prepare strategic plan on COVID management for RU

COVID-19 measures before arriving at campus:
  • Every student arriving on campus is advised to get at least their first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine and submit the certificate for the same.
  • It is mandatory for students to undergo a health check-up and bring a medical certificate issued by the registered medical practitioner before arriving on campus.
  • In case you are unsure about your health, we suggest that you undergo an RT-PCR test within two days (48 hours) of starting from your location and start only after getting a negative report.
  • If you suspect that you might have been exposed to infection during your travel, you can inform us and we will arrange a facility for you to isolate yourself and get tested. You can come to campus after you receive your negative test results.
  • Under extenuating circumstances, if you are unable to get even the first shot of the vaccine, we may arrange a facility for you to isolate yourself, get vaccinated, remain under observation and then come to campus.
  • We may arrange for the second shot of the vaccine in Sonipat, for those who are eligible and require it.
COVID-19 measures after arriving at campus:
  • Wearing masks, social distancing and hand sanitization is compulsory
  • All students should download Aarogya Setu app for government guidelines/updates & CollPoll app for updates on COVID-19 protocols at RU campus
  • Student has to undergo daily temperature checks – twice (morning and evening)
  • Random COVID-19 testing may be done at the campus at frequent intervals to check asymptomatic cases and ensure safety of others
  • Student should report any related symptoms immediately to the designated staff and isolate himself/herself in the designated isolation room on campus
  • Student will not be allowed to exit campus without a valid reason or an emergency situation to reduce exposure to COVID-19
