Proposal: Call for Papers: HIMSamwaad 2025

About the Conference

Agenda 21 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have laid the foundation for global sustainable development. However, the unique challenges of the Himalayan region—fragile ecosystems, cultural diversity, and climate vulnerability—necessitate context- specific strategies to achieve SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

Building on the success of previous SDG conferences in Delhi (2018), Dehradun (2020), and Solan (2022), HIMSamwaad 2025 will bring together experts, policymakers, and grassroots stakeholders to develop actionable solutions for a resilient and sustainable Himalayan future.

Introduction

The Himalayas face urgent challenges, including climate change, natural disasters, and limited access to essential services such as healthcare and clean water. Addressing these issues requires innovative, interdisciplinary, and regionally tailored strategies that integrate traditional knowledge with modern technology.

This call for papers invites researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute insights on achieving sustainable health and water security in the Himalayas. The initiative aims to foster collaboration and co-create solutions tailored to the region’s unique socio-economic and environmental context.
