ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Ankit Gupta leads the team of scientists and engineers at Microsoft Redmond that works on mapping and localization capabilities of Mixed Reality devices. He has worked on and shipped HoloLens 1 and 2, Virtual Reality headsets, and Azure Spatial Anchors – a cloud-based service to enable shared holographic experiences across mobile phones and headsets. Before joining Microsoft, he graduated from University of Washington, Seattle with a PhD in computer vision and graphics. He completed his undergraduate studies in computer science and engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
