“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity.
At the dawn of history India started on her unending quest, and trackless centuries are filled with her striving and the grandeur of her successes and her failures. Through good and ill fortune alike she has never lost sight of that quest or forgotten the ideals which gave her strength.”
It has been 75 years since the ancient civilisation of Bharat got independent and started on its journey to become the modern nation that it is today. What a glorious and remarkable journey it has been! A journey of awakening from a deep slumber of a thousand years to a vibrant 21st-century economic giant. A journey of regaining the lost power and confidence.
We are indeed proud to participate in the nationwide celebrations of the 75 years of our independence. Running from 15th Aug 2021 to 15th Aug 2022, the India@75 campaign will inspire the spirit of India in the community. The campaign includes thought-provoking events, publications, podcasts, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, light shows and short courses to build the nation of our dreams.
As part of the India@75 campaign, Rishihood University and the Rashtram School of Public Leadership celebrated World Sanskrit Day.
“Sanskrit’s versatility of expression, its amazing power to create new words, its ability to meet the challenges and needs of the future, & incredible flexibility therein lies the relevance of Sanskrit” – Dr. Sampadananda Mishra on Professor, Rashtram School of Public Leadership.
