Damini Roy

Research Associate, Centre for Human Sciences

Damini feels deeply privileged to join Dr. Sampadananda Mishra ji’s research team at the Centre for Human Sciences (CHS) at Rishihood University. She will be working to uncover unique aspects of the ancient Vedic art of Avadhānakalā or multiple concentration, and hopes to bring the fruits of this research to share as educational outputs with members of the public soon.

Prior to this project, Damini was researching the effects of sound meditation on human consciousness. Most recently in 2022, she was selected for the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) internship and had a chance to research further on the topic: “Om Meditation – a powerful gift of Yogaśāstras to the Modern World”. This research paper was also chosen for presentation at the international Yogaśāstra Sangamam organised by Swami Vivekananda Yoga Kendra at Kanyakumari. In her previous journey as a corporate employee, Damini also had the privilege of designing workshop materials and corporate learning and development (L&D) programmes for nearly 5,000 C-suite executives across Southeast Asia.

At her present role with Rishihood University, Damini hopes to learn from her distinguished colleagues and further her passion for expanding human consciousness through research, continuous learning and multifocal development.
