Himanshu Gupta is a Doctoral Researcher in the School of Psychology and Education at Rishihood University, Sonipat, Haryana. He has held several key positions in the Indian government. From September 2014 to March 2016, he worked as SDM Najafgarh, Delhi, where he established the first Citizen Facilitation Center in the SDM Office and was a member of the E-District Project that digitized major services like issuance of Caste Certificate/Marriage Certificate.

From April 2016 to August 2017, he worked as Deputy Commissioner Longding District, Arunachal Pradesh. During his tenure, he established mobile network connectivity in the NSCN insurgency-prone district and upgraded Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tissa. From September 2017 to February 2018, he served as Special Secretary Chief Minister’s Office and Education, Arunachal Pradesh. From February 2018 to October 2020, he was Secretary Planning, Information and Public Relations Department and Special Secretary Chief Minister Office, Arunachal Pradesh. During this time, he was instrumental in preparing the State budget and starting key schemes like Arunachal Rising Campaign, Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Program, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swalamban Yojana, CM Samast Shiksha Yojana and CM Fellowship Scheme.

From October 2020 to October 2021, he served as Deputy Commissioner Karol Bagh, North Delhi Municipal Corporation. During his tenure, he established one Dog Park in Rajinder Nagar and started Garbage Cafes and park Libraries in the Karol Bagh region. Since October 2021, he has been serving as Director Education, Government of NCT of Delhi. He is also the Chairperson of Schools of Specialized Excellence (SOSE), Chairperson of Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE), and MD of Delhi SC/ST/OBC/Minorities & Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation Ltd.
