Mahesh Borse is a post-graduate in Textile Design from NID (National Institute of Design Ahmedabad), India’s premier Design school. He has been working in the field of Textiles for over 34 years. He has been involved in design projects with various commercial and developmental organisations for the development of textile products for overseas as well as the domestic market. This has given him an opportunity to work on every type and technique of the textile product that India has to offer. On the domestic front, he has worked on various Government & Private projects as well as with Voluntary Organisations. He is also involved in domestic home decor industry for which he has regularly conceptualised Future Trends & Trend shows.
Internationally, he has conceptualized more than 100 presentations for his clients for fair participation in European countries, UK, USA, China & Hong Kong. This has given him an opportunity to travel extensively all over the World. He has been involved in various projects for the last 27 editions of Heimtextile, Frankfurt, Germany. He has also worked on textile installation & has installations to his credit, both in India and abroad. As a textile artist, he has showcased his work at the Lalit Kala Academy, British Council and India Habitat Centre in Delhi.
