Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kaul

Professor and Dean (Designate), School of Healthcare

Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kaul is a Physician-Dentist with more than 20 years experience as a faculty in research, public health and healthcare administration with a special focus on prevention and diagnosis of emerging/re-emerging Infectious Diseases. His special expertise is in the area of “translational” and “operational” research that can be used to improve patient health and also reduce healthcare costs.

In his long association with the Oklahoma State University, United States, he has worked at various capacities as the Clinical Professor, Health Care Administration; and Director of High Complexity CLIA Laboratories among others. He has also been working as the Clinical Professor and Director for High Complexity COVID-19 testing laboratory at the Oklahoma State University.

As the Associate Professor, Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, he started the Women’s Health Research Program that included designing and setting up research laboratories, hiring personnel and training medical students and residents in translational research. He has several published papers to his credit and has been awarded multiple US Patents.

He has also been the Senior Public Health Advisor for the US State Department at Iraq. He led the ePRT Baghdad (N) health team, integrating all health activities for the Office of Provincial Affairs, United States Embassy, USFI and Baghdad, Iraq and was responsible for coordinating with the Iraqi Ministries of Health and Higher Education.

Dr. Kaul has also served as a Senior Analyst at the Minnesota State Legislature where he worked with Health Technology Advisory Committee. He was responsible for coordinating Health Technology Assessment of emerging medical technologies and publishing reports for stakeholders including healthcare providers, policymakers and consumers.

Dr. Kaul completed his postgraduate studies from the University of Minnesota in Public Health Administration (MPH). He studied Obstetrics & Gynecology – Infection & Immunity at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB); BDS at the University of Lucknow; MBBS from the University of Madras and BSC from the University of Kashmir.

As the Dean, School of Healthcare, Rishihood University, he will form strategies to develop caring healthcare professionals who possess the knowledge and skills to deliver the most efficacious clinical and management services.  We are sure that under his able leadership, the School of Healthcare will become one of the leading contributors to the well-being and health of the people, and be recognized as a leader in healthcare education through excellence and innovation in teaching, scholarship, and service.
