Ritu Beri, an Indian fashion designer, is a member of the advisory board at Rishihood University. She completed her schooling at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, in New Delhi. She pursued fashion arts at NIFT, New Delhi, and in 1990, she launched her label in India. In 1998, Beri achieved a significant milestone by presenting a successful show in Paris, introducing her first luxe collection and becoming the first Indian designer to do so.
She holds the distinction of being the only Indian designer featured in promostyl’s magazine Acustyl, which forecasts fashion trends worldwide. Time magazine recognized her among the People to Watch in International Business. Beri is also the author of the personal fashion book, “101 Ways to Look Your Best.” Additionally, she serves on the board of Governors at NIFT and acts as an honorary patron of the Savera Association, a prominent charity dedicated to improving the lives of Indian women.
In March 2002, she became the head of the Ready to Wear section at the French fashion brand Jean-Louis Scherrer. Beri established a not-for-profit organization called The Luxury League to promote creativity and innovation in India’s luxury industry. Furthermore, she was appointed as an advisor to the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), part of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
