Sakshi Patil is pursuing Doctoral Research in the School of Psychology and Education at Rishihood University, Sonipat, Haryana. Her native place is Jalgaon, Maharashtra. She has completed her masters in Physics from Fergusson College Pune. She is a regular practitioner of Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga meditation. She has an intense love for spirituality. Because of the consistent practice of Rajyoga meditation, she has developed a strong sense of focus, concentration, and clarity of mind.

She always wanted to blend science and spirituality to resolve society’s problems. She was an INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Scholar. She did her master’s project on the topic “Rajyoga Meditation and Mind Wandering: A Pilot Study using Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy” under the guidance of Dr. Sushil Chandra. Also, she has done short training at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). She is currently doing her Ph.D.
on “Effect of Rajyoga Meditation on Cognitive Control in Youth” which she thinks will be a stepping stone for her to create a social impact by helping youth to enhance their mental wellbeing and to become an emotionally strong citizen of the country.
