Gunjan holds a PhD in Education from Jamia Millia Islamia. Her interest areas include Education policy and practices, Educational governance, Teaching‚ Ai Learning & Pedagogy and Teacher Education.

She has experience of working with start-up in higher education where she has been involved as a core member in institution building, policy creation & implementation, academics & research. She conducted many community outreach and teachers training programmes in rural areas though her research deeply focused on education in urban slums. She also worked as State coordinator in the first digital initiative of Government of India for teacher's training D.El.Ed all over the country where she looked after the Uttar Pradesh chapter.

As a multi-perspective person she takes keen interest in promoting Community Connect, Nature Connect and Rural & Tribal Connect. She usually writes on educational issues on various media platforms. She strongly believes in the concept of Life-Long Learning currently she is focussing upon How institutions evolve, adapt and contribute.
