FACULTY

The faculty at the School of Entrepreneurship come from diverse backgrounds and have extensive experience in academics, industry, and start-up. Some of them are full-time faculty who are there to support the students on a daily basis at the campus, some come from the corporate world and are there to help students understand the world of work and bring industry experience into the classroom. Some are international faculty from various universities across the world who fly in from time to time to engage with students to deliver lectures, set international standards and support the learning at Rishihood University. We are privileged to have a mix of faculty who bring with them years of experience and expertise in the area of entrepreneurship and business in general.

Prof MM Pant

PROFESSOR EMERITUS

A PhD in Computational Physics along with a Professional Law Degree, Prof. Pant has been a practitioner in the field of Law, IT-enabled education and IT implementation. Drawing upon his experience in world-class international institutions and having taught in various modes of Face-to-Face, Distance Learning and Technology Enhanced Training.

He believes in the maxim that convergence between various media and technologies would fundamentally alter the way learning would be created, packaged, and delivered to learners. His current activities are all directed towards actual implementation of these new-age educational initiatives.

Prof Pant has been the Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and on the faculty at IIT Kanpur (the premier Engineering institution in India), MLNR Engineering College and on the Faculty & Visiting Professor at University of Western Ontario-Canada. He has been a Visiting Scientist to research centres in Italy, England, Germany & Sweden and has delivered international lectures with about 80 published papers to his credit.

With his interest in Law, backed with practicing of Law in a High Court and his basic training in Science and IT, Prof Pant has been particularly interested in the Cyber Law, Patent & Trade Mark issues, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) issues etc. and has been involved with many activities, conferences on “Law & IT”.

Abhijit Chand

Abhijit is an advertising and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in delivering marketing campaigns for large international organizations across Asia and North America.

Abhijit started his career as a counsellor and marketer for the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at Los Angeles. He progressed to execute large-scale pan-Asia communications and branding campaigns for other international organizations such as SAP Education, the National University of Singapore, SugarCRM, and others.

He has designed and executed seamless cross-platform programs across Print, Broadcast, and Digital Media. He has experience in Strategic Planning, Brand Positioning, Creative Development, Engagement Planning, and Campaign Implementation and Control. Currently, he runs a marketing consultancy to offer digital marketing solutions to a wide range of small and medium business clients.

Alongside his marketing practice, Abhijit also conducts training and education programs. He uses computer simulations to train business students and executives in strategy and marketing. He has conducted training programs at institutions such as Management Development Institute (MDI Gurgaon), the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS, Delhi University), Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, and others. He has also taught branding and advertising to MBA-level students at other pre-eminent business schools in India.

Abhijit has a BA Economics from St. Stephen’s College, India, and an MBA in Marketing from the National University of Singapore and the Richard Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Akshay Kulkarni

Akshay Kulkarni is a hospitality professional with 25 years of experience. Through his career, he has held multiple leadership roles across various geographies and businesses. Having being involved in multiple startups he has had the opportunity to build and grow businesses ranging from operational hotels, educational institutions and consulting practices across Asia. His current role involves setting up and managing a tech business across the Asia Pacific Region. He has also been involved in 2 tech startups relating to online alternate accommodation and also online procurement marketplace for hospitality.
He has always followed an “out of the box” path but remained true to hospitality and education wherever he has gone and has believed in the growth of human capital. His experience ranges from Material management, operating hotels, setting up and running educational institutions, hospitality consulting and brokerage, Hospitality asset management and investments and also hospitality project management and technology.

Arun Rawal

Arun Rawal brings with him over 36 years of corporate work experience holding the position of Vice president of Reliance Industries Limited which he completed in 2018. He has been associated with large organizations like M/s Brooke Bond India Ltd, M/s WIE Ltd, M/s Ballarpur Industries Ltd and last 27 years had been associated as a part of Fortune 500 organization – M/s Reliance Industries Ltd from (Dec 1991- Sept 2018). Mainly associated with the marketing of their Petrochemical / Chemical products besides looked after the Team, Administrative work /Manpower of Human Resources, Industry Affairs. Lastly also played an active part in promoting Jio – telecommunication services to Petrochemical and associates Organizations.

Arun is an accomplished, seasoned executive with a solid and verifiable reputation for achieving corporate growth objectives through providing strategic direction, diverse perspectives and positive leadership. He has been able to increase organizational competencies and increased sustainable revenue while reducing costs. He has been a proven strategist, an inspiring and motivational leader with first-rate interpersonal skills and the ability and passion to expand the vision of any company. He has the capacity to push performance improvement whilst at the same time delivering growth.
Arun has a special interest in work related to the social sector and the upliftment of the lower strata of society. He has been contributing to the welfare of orphanage children / Underprivileged School children / Old age home / Organization like Goonj etc.

Arun has been teaching in a number of Business Schools as a faculty in marketing and of special interests to him is the area of B2B marketing and marketing strategies. He has a great interest in helping students understand the world of marketing and communication.

Brijesh Misra

Brijesh Misra holds the position of Director, Transformation/Technology Operations/Automation CoE at Enbridge Inc which is a Canadian multinational energy transportation company based in Calgary, Canada and focuses on the transportation, distribution and generation of energy, primarily in North America. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Kansas State University, USA and an MBA degree from Kellogg-Schulich School of Business, Northwestern/York University, USA/Canada. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and performance coach.

He is a strategic and results-driven change agent with a proven track record of crafting a vision, developing strategy, directing complex programs, improving the efficiency of operations, building high-impact teams and streamlining business processes to deliver results. A trusted advisor to C-level executives, he is skilled at crafting solutions to complex business challenges while identifying and eliminating unnecessary steps to achieve results. He has extensive global delivery experience in implementing large strategic programs/projects and managing sourcing partners, vendors, and suppliers to meet and exceed company targets and objectives. A collaborator with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, his background consists of both national and international work experience across public and private sector organizations. He also spends time as an angel investor, coach, and advisor to early-stage start-ups in the Greater Toronto Area.

Chirag Gujarati

Chirag started his career as a University Professor at Independent College Dublin, Ireland and AURO University Surat, in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Strategy. With over a decade and half of teaching experience, and being an entrepreneur, Chirag is now a Business Coach and Director of Programs at MIDAS India. 

As an entrepreneur, Chirag has had ventures in the field of education and e-learning. He has a client base across India and worked with companies for education solutions in Africa as well. After the successful acquisition of his start-up, Chirag decided to focus on entrepreneurship education. 

Recently, Chirag has been appointed, under Start-up India Scheme, as the Mentor of Change at Atal Innovation Mission. Chirag is also a start-up mentor at Innovation Valley, one of the largest start-up incubators in India.

As a Business Coach, his expertise lies in entrepreneurship, design thinking & innovation, marketing and strategy where he has been working for five years in various capacities from coach to partner to an investor. Chirag has been a visiting faculty at various prestigious institutions and been involved in speaking engagements at a number of start-up and entrepreneurship events and conferences including Google Start-up Weekend. 

Chirag has conducted more than fifty workshops on the topic “Entrepreneurs are Made, Not Born” across the country inspiring students to take up entrepreneurship as a career option. He has helped more than 35 start-ups in their journey from idea to launch stage.

Dene T. Hurley

Dene T. Hurley is Chair and Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics and Business at Lehman College -CUNY. She oversees and manages one of the largest academic departments at Lehman College with three programs (Accounting, Business and Economics), offering seven undergraduate and graduate degrees with close to 1,500 student majors, over 70 faculty members (full-time and adjunct), two academic advisers and two administrative staff members. Dene’s primary research focus is on the exchange rate and trade issues with application to Asian economies. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Economic Papers, Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, Global Economic Review and Applied Economics, among others. Dene’s industry work experience includes as an economist in the maritime industry and environmental consulting as well as with the Seychelles Islands’ Ministry of Finance.

Jennifer Clifford

Jennifer Janisch Clifford is a natural resource economist specializing in economic valuation and economic incentives. Her interests include food and water resources, wildlife conservation, and the public health costs of zoonotic diseases. She is an Environmental Economist. Clifford has worked on environmental projects throughout Central America, most recently in Chiapas, Mexico, and in Asia including Beijing and Surabaya.

Clifford received a PhD in economics, master’s in economic policy and planning from Northeastern University, and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.

Dr Mridula Dwivedi

Dr Mridula Dwivedi did her PhD from IIT Kanpur. She has 13 years of teaching experience. She held the position of the Program Director for M.Sc at Oxford Brookes and Lancaster University programs in India. Her work was awarded as the best portfolio for teaching and learning by the Oxford Brookes University. She earned a Certificate in Teaching from the Lancaster University. She has published her papers in  International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Research Methods for Business Students, Asian Education and Business Studies, Information Technology and Tourism among others. She has presented papers at IIM Lucknow, EuroCHRIE Leeds, University of Modena, Italy etc. She is a reviewer with the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. She has a gold medal for standing first in MA Economics at Banasthali Vidyapith. Her research interest focuses on the use of social media in business.

She also maintains a travel blog and visited 32 countries to date. In her blogging/social media capacity she has worked with Spain Tourism Board, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Jordan Tourism Board and companies like Singapore Airlines, Air Arabia, Taj Safaris etc.

Navroze D Dhondy

Holds a postgraduate degree in Management from Allahabad University and currently is the founder & CEO of Creatigies Communications Pvt. Limited, New Delhi. Creatigies is an independent one-of-a-kind innovative marketing solutions consultancy that provides out-of-the-box and result-oriented marketing solutions to brands, companies and events.

He was also the CEO of Percent Advertising Limited where he managed the diversification and growth of the agency. At Percept, he Drove tie-Up and JV with Hakuhodo, Japan’s second-largest advertising agency. He provided strategic inputs on the JV with Carat, one of the world’s largest Media networks and was responsible for the expansion of the business across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai and winning key accounts from Bharti, Airtel, Hero Honda, Close Up, Epson, and MantraOnlin. He also held the position of Chief Executive Officer of TBWA- Anthem Communications Pvt. Limited from 1995 to 1999 where he led the expansion and consolidation of the business and branches at Delhi Mumbai, Pune and representative offices at Lucknow and Cochin. Business growth 4-fold in the period.

Dr NishaKant Ojha

Dr Nisha Kant Ojha is currently the advisor International Relations and Adjunct Professor in the School of Entrepreneurship at Rishihood University. He is an expert in Cyber Terrorism & National Securities issues and has in-depth expertise in the core area of National Securities Strategies & Cyber Policies. He is also an Eminent Faculty for Counter-Terrorism & Cyber Security for Para-Military Forces. He also had specialized knowledge of the Cyber functionality of China & Russia. He had completed his Post – Doctorate in the Research area of – IPV6 implementation, Economics Aspects of 4 G implementation, Artificial Intelligence and FGN Technologies from Aalborg University, Denmark.

A Post- Doctorate in Electronics & Communications by qualification, NishaKant has and had extensive work experience in the management field of the telecom sector of India for almost 16+ years covering virtually all facets of telecom services and network. Dr NishaKant has also worked as a regulatory expert for ITU nominated by WPC, DoT Ministry of Communicationsb& IT, Government of India on their behalf and had represented India on a regular basis in Geneva (Switzerland) and in China.

He has also worked as GM in Tata Communications Ltd (erstwhile VSNL), before acting as an Advisor for various countries in APAC & Europe. He was and is now responsible for taking care of overall issues of Cyber-attacks, Cyber-crime, Cybersecurity, Cyber terrorism, Cyber Currencies including data flow & privacy issues.  Dr Ojha has extensive insights in the Geo-Politics of West Asia & Middle East.

Dr Ojha is associated in an advisory capacity to para-military, defence and LEA’s. His research also concentrates on Nation’s Security Policies pertaining to Machine Learning & AI. His specialized areas include Radio Regulatory affairs for new technologies, Radio mobile communications, Dynamic spectrum management, Defense & National Securities, Technologies Converges Policy Analysis, Cyber Security-T threat, Commercial Negotiation, Licensing and Regulatory policies and extensive knowledge about Telecom, Defense Automation and Broadcasting Regulatory Law.

Prof Patrick McNamara

Patrick McNamara, PhD has worked locally and internationally with universities, corporations, governments, NGOs, and foundations for 30 years. He is the Director of the International Studies and directs grant projects at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). Patrick has consulted with over 300 clients and presented workshops in the US, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Vietnam, Japan, Israel, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Patrick currently leads a number of different projects including:

  • Principal Administrator of the US Department of State-sponsored $1,500,000 project Partnership 2020: Leveraging US-India Cooperation in Higher Education to Harness Economic Opportunities and Innovation.
  • Principal Administrator of the UNO-Pakistan University Linkages Project.
  • Principal Administrator for over $3 million in grant funding in Afghanistan working with American University – Afghanistan, Kabul University, Kabul Polytechnic University, Balkh University, and high schools implementing a new Peace Education curriculum.
  • Academic Director for the $3.6 million Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) which trains the best and brightest young people from the 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries in civic engagement.
  • Facilitator for Nebraska Humanities funded Muslim Communities Dialogue, a partnership between UNO’s Islamic Studies Program and Sustained Dialogue Initiative.

Previous projects and positions have included overseeing grant programs of $80 million annually at the Omaha Community Foundation; directing the Omaha Hate Crimes Project, a partnership funded by the US Department of Justice between the City of Omaha, community groups and law enforcement; and facilitating the U.S. Institute of Peace funded project on Transboundary Water Cooperation between Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. 

Prof Ravi Jain

Ravi Jain, Ph.D., CFA, is a Portfolio Manager of the Large Cap Growth Strategy at Ironwood Investment Management. Dr Jain currently serves as an associate professor of finance at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. He seeks to invest in companies that can compound their earnings through wise capital allocation, with emphasis on firms — both parents and subsidiaries — emerging from spinoffs.
