Yogic Approach to True Leadership

The webinar on Yogic Approach to True Leadership was conducted on June 21st 2021 To celebrate the 7th International Day of Yoga. Padmashri Shovana Narayanan, renowned Indian Kathak Artist, Sh. Shubha Vilas, Lifestyle Coach, Author & Story Teller, and Acharya Pratishtha, Indian Classical Dance & Yoga Exponent will be the guest speakers for the event. The event was hosted by Shivshankar ji and moderated by Dr Sampadananda Mishra.  The event started with the address of Shri Suresh Prabhu ji, Chancellor of Rishihood University. He underlined the need of having leaders at various levels and domains of the society and how these leaders are important in realizing the true potential of Bharat.

In her address, Padmashree Smt Shovana Narayan ji shared her perspectives on leadership and how yoga can help in producing leaders for the nation. She highlighted the attributes of a true leader and the example they set for the world that motivate and guide the future generation. She also stressed the need to cultivate sensitivity towards each and every being, concern for others and feeling brotherhood as a way of life.

Shri Shubha Vilas ji spoke on the qualities of a good leader. Speaking about a great leader he says that a great leader is the one who knows the value of balance and maintains that balance in all kinds of calamities and unfavorable circumstances and he explained this with the example of Shri Krishna. He also quotes Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra to point out the five qualities of a leader. With the example of Shri Ram, he explains how a leader needs to overcome his ego in order to lead.

Acharya Pratishtha ji spoke on the meaning of yoga and what it means in essence. She explains that full perfection in one’s work is yoga and if one is working perfectly, yoga has already happened in his life. She explains how to become a true leader it becomes very important to adapt yoga in our lives to keep our body, mind, spirit and consciousness healthy. She explaind how one should being their day to have optimal productivity by doing a very short meditative practice.

The event ended with a vote of thanks given by Dr Sampadananda Mishra.
