Open to all applicants aged 14–25. Submit your original write-up (up to 1000 words, PDF) as part of the registration process.

Evaluation Period

All entries are reviewed by the National Book Trust, India through a structured evaluation process across categories and age groups.

Day 1 — Workshops Begin

Arrive at Rishihood University, Sonipat. Morning sessions, mentorship, workshops, and industry sessions kick off.

31 May

Day 2 — Awards & Closing

Results announced. Winners honored during the closing ceremony. ₹21,000 cash prize awarded to each of the 8 winners.

Eligibility & Participation
Anyone aged 14 to 25 years from across India can apply.
Participants who register and submit their write-up can attend, subject to seat availability (first-come, first-served).
  • 100 seats for Non-Residential (Day Participants)
  • 100 seats for Residential Participants
The program follows a Workshop + Competition model. Participation in the 2-day program is open to all applicants who complete registration and submission (subject to seat availability). The competition component is merit-based, and entries will be evaluated to determine winners.
Yes, the program is designed as a 2-day immersive experience, and participants are expected to attend both days.
  • Non-Residential: Access to all daytime sessions across both days, including scheduled meals. No accommodation provided.
  • Residential: Full access to the entire program, including accommodation, all meals, and exclusive residential activities.
No, the program is designed exclusively for registered participants.
The program will be conducted in a safe and supervised environment with dedicated coordinators, clear help and reporting points, an emergency contact system, and managed accommodation for residential participants. Parental consent is mandatory for participants below 18 years of age.
Contest Structure & Submission
The competition is structured across:
  • 2 Formats: Fiction & Non-Fiction
  • 2 Languages: Hindi & English
  • 2 Age Groups: Junior (14–19 years) & Senior (20–25 years)
This creates multiple independent evaluation segments, ensuring fair assessment across all combinations.

Only one entry per participant is allowed. The write-up should beup to 1,000 words and submitted in PDF format only.
No. Entries must be original, unpublished, and plagiarism-free.
Participants can choose one topic from the given list under their selected category. Once submitted, category and language cannot be changed.
Fees & Registration
Yes:
  • ₹1,000 – Non-Residential (Day Participants)
  • ₹4,000 – Residential (including accommodation & meals)
Once a seat is confirmed, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Registration is confirmed only after seat allocation — if seats are unavailable, any fee paid will be refunded.

Evaluation, Results & Recognition
Entries are evaluated by an expert panel. There are 8 winners in totalacross 4 categories (Fiction – Hindi, Fiction – English, Non-Fiction – Hindi, Non-Fiction – English) × 2 age groups (Junior & Senior). Each winner receives ₹21,000.
Results will be announced on 31st May 2026 during the closing ceremony. The decision of the evaluation panel is final and binding.
