About
Pratishtha Mukherjee is an archaeologist, researcher, and educator specialising in Indian art, iconography, and temple traditions. She completed her PhD in Archaeology and Ancient History at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, focusing on the sculptural analysis of Yakṣa figurines from North India with special reference to the Ganga Valley. She currently serves as an assistant professor at Rishihood University. Her research engages with ancient Indian sculpture, religious traditions, and material culture. She has worked with institutions such as the Archaeological Survey of India and the National Museum and has published widely on Indian art and archaeology.
