Jal Symposium is an on-campus national event being organized by the Center for Water, Rishihood University where thought-leaders, practitioners, social entrepreneurs, government leaders, and more are coming together.
Under the guidance of our Founding Chancellor Shri Suresh Prabhu, Rishihood University is taking strategic initiatives on water to work on each and every challenge related to water and water resources. In a collaborative approach, we are working with, and proposed to work with, all organizations working on these issues and the public-at-large.
As an important outcome of this symposium, we are launching the ‘Jal Rakshak’ fellowship. Through Jal Rakshak, we will train youth volunteers and entrepreneurs across the country. The inaugural batch is to train 750 jal rakshaks, one in each district of India. The jal rakshaks will work with social organizations, district government, spiritual leaders, and the people in their respective districts and will be prepared to become water entrepreneurs, ready to lead the citizens.
Water is one of the most important issues of our times. To create future innovators and problem-solvers, we are launching Jal Rakshak, a platform to bring the nation together on this issue.
