Gauranga Das, an IIT Bombay graduate, is a mindful meditation expert, sustainability advocate, and social welfare catalyst. He serves on ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission and is a member of the Board of Founders of Rishihood University.
As the director of ISKCON’s Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV), founded by Radhanath Swami Maharaj, Gauranga Das has played a key role in its success, earning it accolades such as the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Award in 2017. He facilitated GEV’s accreditation to multiple United Nations bodies, including UNEP, UNCCD, ECOSOC, and CBD. Serving as UNEP’s Faith for Earth Counsellor on behalf of ISKCON highlights his commitment to environmental causes.
Gauranga Das is actively involved in educational initiatives, sitting on the board of the Govardhan School of Public Leadership, which prepares students for civil services exams. Additionally, he serves as the administrative director of Bhaktivedanta Research Centre (BRC), dedicated to creating libraries of Vedic literatures and manuscripts, and offering MA and PhD programs in philosophy.
His notable contributions extend to the literary realm with two national bestselling books, ‘Art of Resilience’ and ‘Art of Focus.’ Recognized for presenting Vedic Knowledge in a contemporary and engaging manner, he has spoken at prestigious events such as TEDx and in corporate settings including Intel, Salesforce, and Google.
Gauranga Das inaugurated the Govardhan Annakshetra program at Govardhan Ecovillage, demonstrating his commitment to distributing free sanctified food to pilgrims and villagers in Palghar district.
