Sajjan Agarwal, a member of the Board of Founders of Rishihood University, has called Cary, North Carolina home for the last 30 years since immigrating to the United States in 1976. He holds an Engineering Degree from Birla Institute Of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India, and an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University.

In 1981, Agarwal founded Sigma Electric Corporation, which became a leader in offshore manufacturing and supply chain management, providing electrical components to major corporations worldwide. He sold the business to Goldman Sachs in 2007, with over 5,000 employees in India and the USA.

Currently serving as Chairman and CEO of GreenHawk Corporation in Raleigh, Sajjan Agarwal oversees significant operations in residential and commercial real estate across the Carolinas.

The Agarwal family is deeply involved in philanthropy, particularly in promoting education for underprivileged children and improving healthcare in India and the US. They are active on boards such as Duke Hospital Raleigh, EKAL USA, YMCA, and the Hindu Society of NC.
